WHY ME

  • The short version:

1. I have extensive knowledge in Fitness and Sports (Master’s in Sport Science, European Diploma in Strength and Conditioning, Coaching diploma) and I am constantly reading the latest studies in the fitness world.
2. I have a long experience in coaching people. I am in the industry since 2005 and I have helped hundreds of men and women to get in their best shape and improve their health, helping people to lose weight, build muscle; all the way to helping fitness professionals (athletes and coaches) to optimise their physical condition.
3. And most importantly, I walk the talk. I train naturally and focus on long-term health. You won’t find gimmicks, fad diets, or drug-enhanced shortcuts here. Just proven methods that work for real people.

  • The long version:

EARLY LIFE CHAPTER: As a skinny-fat teenager I struggled to fit in but one day, fed up of feeling weak and unfit, I made the 360 shift and decided there was no reason that I couldn't be fit. So I started training, leaning pretty obsessively I must admit. I learn by trial and errors at first and then realise my fitness was improving so I decided to go to uni to study Sport Science. It has been a transformative journey physically, aesthetically but also mentally and psychologically. After my Masters in Sport Science I did a European Diploma in Strength & Conditioning and worked with professional athletes as well as in an injury rehabilitation centre working alongside physio therapists. In spare time, I also started coaching people with the goals of losing unwanted weight and/or gaining muscle mass. I, then, decided to move to London in 2013 and made personal training my full time job helping hundreds of people get in shape.   LOSING FAT CHAPTER: I had the experience of what people live when they work at the office. To progress in my fitness career I accepted to take on a Gym manager role for a large company operating in the UK and in one year... I put on 30kg (mainly fat...). I kept eating like an athlete but i was not training like one anymore. With hindsight, it was a great experience, because most coaches have been fit all their life and don't always understand the struggles from their clients. Those experiences have taught me a lot: from being weak and unfit as a teenager to becoming unfit again in my early thirsties with this new role. But I walk the talk and I adjusted my diet and make some room around my busy schedules and I got back in shape.   INJURY CHAPTER: Being fit doesn't protect us from everything, sometimes life through challenges at you. And while playing football, a nasty tackle broke my tibia. Thankfully the surgery went well and with my rehabilitation knowledge, I was already doing some bodyweight squats in the hospital the day after the surgery and I was back to full training without crutches 6 weeks later. During that time I adjusted my training plan focusing on hypertrophy for upper body and rehabilitation for my lower body.   GAINING MUSCLE CHAPTER: And my latest challenge came in 2024 when I was lucky to take a gap year (at 37 years old, why not) to travel the world (6 months and half in South America, 4 months in South East Asia and 2 months in Europe). While travelling in remote places, it has been difficult to find gyms to keep up with my weight training so I had to practice some callisthenics, sometimes being creative doing pull ups on a wooden beam of a tiny house or dips between stools. A lot of hiking during that year and a pretty low protein diet, I still managed to maintain my muscle mass. As soon as I was back home, my new challenge is to get as naturally muscular as I can and on my 38th birthday I actually was in the best shape of my life and lifting heavier than before. I now stand at 94kg (208lbs) for 1m85 (6ft1) at 12% body fat (on the Dexa Scan).   LONGEVITY CHAPTER: Now, my new challenge is to see how muscular and lean I can get (always with a natural approach) as I believe I haven't reached my full potential. I now optimise even more my nutrition, training, sleep and recovery like I would do for a pro athlete with also the goal of longevity in mind. Lifting heavier, with the best technique, for as long as I can live.   YOUR TURN CHAPTER? Someone who has gotten his fitness results thanks to careful planning in regards of training plans and nutrition and not taking shortcuts using steroids and other drugs like too many "fitness influencers/trainers" out there selling dreams to people with advice not suited for people wanting to train naturally.
